After a four-year investigation, students at the University of Illinois have concluded that Deep Throat, the anonymous source who helped Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein break open the Watergate scandal, was Fred Fielding, deputy counsel to former President Nixon and now a litigator with the Washington, D.C., firm Morgan, Lewis and Bockius.
