The trial consulting firm Bowne DecisionQuest publishes a free electronic newsletter, DQ FYI, that you can subscribe to here. Sure, it’s a marketing device, but each newsletter generally includes a useful article or two, along with a Question of the Month, in which lawyers are invited to offer their solutions to sticky situations that may arise at trial. Each issue also includes a Graphic of the Month, such as this timeline sequence designed for a case alleging the wrongful death of two chemical plant workers. The workers were provided tanks that were supposed to contain oxygen, but that had inadvertently been filled with a lethal gas. The timeline was designed to illustrate that the best-case emergency response time was greater than the time it took the men to die.
