Launched last week, Unintended Consequences is a Web log focusing on “law and disruptive technologies affecting insurance and related financial services (especially their unintended consequences).” It is published by Doug Simpson, an attorney in Hartford, Conn., who was with the law department of a Fortune 500 insurance company for more than 25 years and is now an independent legal consultant and writer. Topics Simpson intends to touch on include Gramm-Leach-Bailey, HIPPA, Sarbanes-Oxley, McCarran-Ferguson, E-SIGN and the DMCA.
