The UK magazine Managing Intellectual Property has announced the results of its survey of the leading patent firms worldwide. [Subscription required, but free trial available.]

The survey polled IP practitioners in 57 countries for their picks for the best firms. The magazine followed the survey with requests for more detailed comments from practitioners and in-house counsel. Firms ranking in the top tier “are regarded as the leaders in their marked with the greatest expertise, experience and broadest coverage,” the magazine said.

The three firms most mentioned in all countries were Baker & McKenzie, Clarke Modet & Co., and Lovells.

In the United States, the survey had separate rankings for “non-contentious” firms and litigation firms. Among the former group, the highest ranking firms were:
