My post yesterday about the JuristBlogger widget brought an e-mail this morning from company founder Josh Morgan. He writes:
“First, thank you for the feedback. User feedback always proves to be invaluable.
“We certainly do not want to mislead any users and I should have been more clear. To answer your question about the adsense code: yes, it is included. However, it is merely a place holder letting the user know where to place their own adsense code if they wish to hide it in our widget. It can be deleted at anytime. We had several people test our site before it was released and we found that folks get lost in the code if they just see a simple comment ***//place adsense code here//***. Its much easier to show the user our adsense code which occupies +/- 15 lines of code. Plus, I make myself available to users who may have a problem.
“Still, you can never tell how the masses will react to what we offer. I will blog about this and give further instruction in another newsletter.
“So far, we have seen several blogs implement the use of the widget with no complaints. Many used their own intuition to delete our adsense and add their own. But as I said, I will go the extra mile. (I may even have a flash tutorial made).
“If you have any other questions, comments, or ways we can improve, please don’t hesitate to contact me.”
