In a June 2008 post here, I previewed the beta version of Clio, a Web-based practice management tool. One year ago today, it came out of beta with the release of its full version, which I picked as one of 10 tech stars at LegalTech NYC.

To mark its anniversary today, Clio is releasing a new First Anniversary Edition. This new edition adds three enhancements:

  • Outlook Synchronization. Two-way synchronization of Outlook contacts, calendar items and tasks.
  • New and improved reports. These include a client ledger, productivity by lawyer, work in progress and accounts receivable.
  • Integration with QuickBooks.

The monthly subscription fee for Clio is $49 for a lawyer and $25 for support staff. As an anniversary special, Clio is offering new subscribers a $25 discount on the first month. Get it by using the discount code HAPPYBIRTHDAY.
