Comprehensive Resource on Foreign Corrupt Practices Act

The law firm of Shearman & Sterling has launched a comprehensive Web site designed to serve as a one-stop resource on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. The site is a searchable, dynamic version of the firm’s FCPA Digest, a nearly 500-page summary of FCPA cases and review releases.

The Web site includes the full text of the digest in PDF format. More notably, it provides a searchable database of the Digest’s case summaries and also provides access to each case’s primary source documents, including complaints and government press releases. The database allows users to search for cases by various criteria, including industry, country, mode of payment and disposition.

The database can also be browsed by filing date, defendant name and type of case (e.g., DOJ Criminal, SEC Civil, etc.).

The site is free to use and no registration is required. However, users who register can opt to receive e-mail alerts when new content is added or when there are updates to saved searches.

The site is edited by Philip Urofsky, head of the firm’s FCPA & Global Anti-Corruption Practice.
