Podcast: Upheaval at the NLRB

Recently, President Obama caused a stir when he used his recess-appointment authority to name two union lawyers, Craig Becker and Mark Pearce, to the National Labor Relations Board. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court recently heard arguments in a case that questions whether nearly two years’ worth of decisions by the two sitting members constituted a legally authorized quorum. All this has focused unusual attention on the NLRB.

This week on the legal-affairs podcast Lawyer2Lawyer, we discuss the state of affairs at the NLRB with two guests: Nancy Schiffer, associate general counsel of the AFL-CIO, and Charles I. Cohen, a former NLRB board member who is now senior counsel in the labor and employment practice at Morgan Lewis & Bockius.
