The organization OpenTheGovernment.org has launched a blog, Evaluating Open Gov, as part of its larger effort to track and evaluate the federal government’s progress towards fulfilling President Obama’s commitment to “creating an unprecedented level of openness in government.”

Under the administration’s Open Government Directive, agencies were required to file Open Government Plans by April 7, 2010. OpenTheGovernment conducted an audit of those plans and is tracking updates and revisions as agencies continue to refine their plans. The blog will track the latest developments regarding these plans and provide commentary.
