JD Supra and LinkedIn, Like Peanut Butter and ??

3 Comments · Posted by Robert Ambrogi in General

I wrote last week about the news that JD Supra is Now Linked Up to LinkedIn. After writing that, I came across a post from Martha Sperry in which she said that JD Supra and LinkedIn go together like peanut butter and jelly. Now I read, via Jayne Navarre’s Virtual Marketing Officer blog, that Ron Coleman, of the blog Likelihood of Confusion, says JD Supra and LinkedIn go together like peanut butter and chocolate.

And so I ask: Which is it? Is the match-up of JD Supra and LinkedIn like peanut butter and jelly or like peanut butter and chocolate?

Hahaha Bob. I had not seen the peanut butter and jelly post. Thanks for the heads up on a great post by Martha. However, I think Ron improved upon the analogy…made me want to run out and buy a Reese. Better still it brought to mind the vacation in Puerto Morelos, MX a few months back where the posada I stayed at offered a continental breakfast of bread, fruit, coffee, peanut butter AND chocolate spread! It was a winner. …no matter what you spread, dip or consume with your peanut butter…the JDsupra app on LinkedIn is a winner.

I guess I thought of peanut butter and chocolate because, yes, as Jayne says, like Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, they’re not an obvious match until you taste them together.

I don’t know why peanut butter and jelly are considered an “obvious match.” But I hold that truth to be self-evident. Which is my point.
