If you are a lawyer who uses an iPad, here are two blogs — one new and one not-so-new —  that can help you make better use of it and keep up with the latest applications:

  • iPadmania is a new blog written by Anthony Paonita, editor-in-chief of Corporate Counsel magazine. He started the blog in February as an “internal, for-our-eyes only” guide for employees of ALM, covering “what I find useful, interesting, amusing, or terrible, on the iPad.” Soon, however, Paonita opened the blog “to the universe,” as Monica Bay reported this week. His posts do not expressly target lawyers but should prove of interest to legal professionals nonetheless.
  • Tablet Legal, by contrast, is a blog that is explicitly written for lawyers and legal professionals who use the iPad. Joshua M. Barrett, a lawyer in Portland, Ore., started the blog in January 2010, just a few days after Apple first unveiled the original iPad. “This blog will discuss lawyers using the iPad, applications for the iPad and other developments specific to the iPad in the legal profession,” he wrote then.

For those of you who will be at ABA Techshow next month, Barrett will be presenting two programs on Wednesday about the use of the iPhone and iPad in law practice.
