Now you can get an advanced degree in tax law without ever leaving your desk. Boston University School of Law has launched a program for an Online LL.M. in Taxation, based on the bricks-and-mortar version of its Graduate Tax Program.
From the program website:
Our renowned LL.M. program, first established in 1959, is now available through online, interactive instruction, enabling practitioners to receive essential training in the fundamental underpinnings of tax law in a convenient, accessible format. The online program option’s comprehensive course of study is taught by the same experienced faculty from BU Law’s traditional, residential tax program option. As a result, you will not only master the fundamental concepts of tax law, you will also develop a practical understanding of how tax issues are handled in real-world settings.
The program can be completed in as few as four 16-week sessions of part-time study over the course of four years, the site says. The program is designed to provide the flexibility in scheduling that practicing lawyers would need.
I could find no information on tuition for the program.
