See You at LegalTech?

I will be at LegalTech in New York this week and also at ReInvent Law NYC on Friday. Hope to see you at one or the other.

At LegalTech, I will be participating in a panel on Wednesday at 2 p.m., Total Cost of Ownership – Cloud vs. Premise: An Appellate Court-Style Debate. The panel will explore a timely topic in a fun format. The topic is whether a law firm should choose cloud-based software or software installed on premises. The format will have two lawyers presenting their cases in the form of appellate arguments to a panel of judges. I get to play one of the judges, along with Jack Halprin, the e-discovery counsel at Google. Making the case for the cloud will be Chris Anderson of LexisNexis, and arguing for the appliance will be Jay Brudz of Drinker Biddle.

I will also be on a short panel during the annual bloggers’ breakfast sponsored by ALM and Law.com. That panel will be offering thoughts on the year to come in law and technology.

See you in New York.
