I am often contacted by vendors interested in advertising on LawSites. While I am more than happy to have their ads, I am not comfortable with dealing with them directly, given that my focus here is on reviewing vendors’ products and websites. In the past, I avoided direct dealings with advertisers by using the advertising site Blogads, where advertisers could place ads and have them appear on my site without having any direct contact with me.

LawyeristLogoI am very happy to announce that, starting Jan. 1, I will be taking a new approach to advertising on my blog. Now, advertising on LawSites will be sold and managed through Lawyerist.com. Sam Glover, Lawyerist’s editor-in-chief, has added LawSites to the portfolio of display advertising he sells and manages. He is also doing this for Carolyn Elefant’s blog, MyShingle.

This new alliance means that you can now buy advertising impressions on LawSites and MyShingle at the same time you buy impressions on Lawyerist. Reporting and statistics will all be handled through Lawyerist.

Here on Lawsites, four advertising positions will be sold: a 728 x 90 leaderboard at the top of every page, a 300 x 250 medium rectangle at the top of the sidebar, the same in the second position on the sidebar, and a 300 x 600 ad in the third position on the sidebar. All ads will be sold on a CPM basis.
