The NLJ 250, the National Law Journal’s annual ranking of the 250 largest law firms in the United States, shows that large law firms grew last year, but just barely — by about 1.5 percent. First-place finisher Baker & McKenzie, with 3,194 lawyers, lost attorneys from the prior year. In second place was Jones Day, followed by White & Case, which edged into the number three slot held last year by Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom.
