When an SUV rollover results in injury or death, attorneys are sure to become involved. Now, the legal community is using the Web to help prevent these rollovers, and the ugly beast shown here — the 6-foot long, 11-foot wide and 10-foot tall ESUVEE — is the mascot of that effort.

The attorneys general of every U.S. state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands have collaborated to launch Esuvee, a site aimed at educating consumers about avoiding SUV rollovers and deaths. The site, available in English and Spanish, features tips for driving SUVs safely, focusing on speed, handling, loading, tires and seatbelt wear. It also provides links to other resources related to motor vehicle safety. Part of a $27 million, year-long national education program designed to reduce SUV rollovers — particularly among younger male drivers who have the highest incidence of such accidents — the site is cleverly designed using Flash.
