LexisNexis will provide searching and viewing of TV news programs by summer’s end, it announced. It has teamed with Critical Mention, a Web-based TV search and broadcast monitoring service, to provide the feature.

According to the announcement, it will deliver searchable video and print news clips together through its pay-as-you-go research service, LexisNexis AlaCarte!. The announcement says:

“In late summer of this year, LexisNexis AlaCarte! users will be able to search television clips and view streaming video from leading TV news providers, greatly enhancing users’ ability to monitor news and trends affecting their companies, their clients or competitors. In addition, a ‘send to a colleague’ function will allow users to send links to TV video clips for viewing.”
