I find it interesting that two of the three people being discussed to replace Nightline anchor Ted Koppel got started in their careers covering law and one is a lawyer: Cynthia McFadden and Terry Moran. McFadden, a graduate of Columbia University law school, was an anchor and producer for Court TV and earlier was executive producer of Fred Friendly’s Media and Society seminars on PBS. Moran was assistant managing editor at Legal Times early in his career and then a correspondent and anchor for Court TV. When he first joined ABC, he spent 10 years covering law, including the Supreme Court.
