The Wall Street Journal Online this week launched a law page and a law blog, both intended to provide news and analysis on events and trends important to the legal market. You will have to be a subscriber to access the law page, but the law blog, titled — you guessed it — Law Blog, is free.

The blog will include contributions from various reporters and editors at The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones Newswires. Lead writer is Peter Lattman, a lawyer and former writer at Forbes Magazine.

The law page will include content from the online and print editions of the WSJ and Dow Jones, as well as Mealey’, a subsidiary of LexisNexis. Ashby Jones, a lawyer and former reporter for American Lawyer Media, will be legal editor for the page. He will write a regular online column called The FLaw.
