Mary Mack, longtime corporate technology counsel to e-discovery company Fios and author of its featured blog, Sound Evidence, is leaving that company to join another e-discovery company, ZyLAB, as enterprise technology counsel and part of the leadership team charged with developing its North American business.

“It is with mixed emotions that I have decided to leave Fios and the amazing individuals that make up the firm,” Mack said in a statement Fios released today. “We have accomplished so much in our 10 years together and I am immensely proud of what we have built. I leave at a time when Fios is a dominant, stable leader in the market. Therefore, the point has come for me to again fuel my personal passions and pursue the opportunity to build something new.”

Mack is the author of two books on e-discovery, A Process of Illumination: The Practical Guide to Electronic Discovery, published by Fios, and eDiscovery for Corporate Counsel, published by West.

I’ve had the good fortune to come to know Mary both personally and professionally (and even to have done a webcast with her). She is not only extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful, but she is also one heck of a nice person.

I wish her all the best.
