For the people who work at Catalyst Repository Systems, the disaster in Japan touches them directly. Catalyst has staff and offices in Japan, clients in Japan, and a number of partners with whom it works closely on e-discovery matters.

In the wake of Friday’s tragic earthquake and tsunami and the continuing series of aftershocks, Catalyst staff mobilized over the weekend and set up the Legal Professionals for Japan relief fund. The company is urging members of the legal community to contribute to the fund. It has committed to match every dollar donated up to a total of $20,000.

This is an opportunity for law firms, legal vendors, corporations and individual legal professionals to contribute to provide aid to Japan. Proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross and specifically designated for Japan earthquake and tsunami relief.
