This week marked the ninth birthday of this blog. Here was my first post, on Nov. 19, 2002: Welcome to My Blog.

I sure wasn’t the first legal blog. After some snooping a few years ago, I concluded that honor belonged to Walter Olson at Overlawyered. But I’m pretty sure I was the first legal blogger in Massachusetts, for what that’s worth.

On that prior occasion when I traced back to the first legal blogger, former blawger David Giacalone came up with a haiku to mark the finding:

digital age
aging digits
at the keyboard

That seems apt today.

I will miss you in the blawgosphere, Bob. It just won’t be the same without. No, no, I mean it. It surely won’t and you will be sorely missed.

Go gentle into the night, Bob Ambrogi. Adieu.

    • Am I going somewhere? Scott, do you know something I don’t?

  • I will always regard you as the blogger who launched right before me. I thought of you as a celebrity because of your ABA book which I’d purchased. Happy 9, many more!

    Happy Birthday, Blog!

  • Congratulations, Bob and Happy Birthday to your blog. I’ve really enjoyed your posts over the years. 🙂
