Coming Oct. 26 and 27 in Washington, D.C., is the annual Futures Conference presented by the College of Law Practice Management (of which I am a fellow) and the Georgetown Law Center. The conference focuses on the leading edge of law practice management, with programs geared to firms of all sizes, across all legal disciplines.
Among the topics on the agenda are new model law firms, the challenges of diversity, the consumer law revolution, the future of managing partners, and the nuances of value and alternative fees. Attendees will also hear from Jim Sandman, the president of the Legal Services Corporation, and learn about new initiatives from COLPM designed to bolster the delivery of legal aid.
Registration is $495 for COLPM fellows and for members of the ABA, the ALA, ILTA, the LMA and the CBA. Others pay $595. For the full conference brochure, click here.
