It is a curse of riches. With so many practice management systems on the market, how is a lawyer or law firm to choose which is the right fit?

I don’t have the answer. But I do have six questions you should be asking to help you decide. I lay them out in my column this week at Above the Law:  This Week In Legal Tech: 6 Questions To Ask Before Selecting A Practice Management System.

On a related note, if you are interested in this topic and will be attending Legalweek in New York next week, I will be part of a panel, “All Things Implementation: Improving Technology Management in the Small Firm,” Feb. 1, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., as part of the LegalSmallFirm track. My co-panelists will be Heidi Alexander, law practice advisor at Massachusetts Law Office Management Assistance Program, and Penn Dodson, partner at AndersonDodson, P.C., and the moderator will be Tracee Wagner, director of sales at Trialworks.
