JumpStart

Steven R. Adams is a lawyer who built a successful Ohio criminal defense practice but who felt that the legal conferences he’s attended weren’t teaching solo and small firm lawyers the skills they need to start and grow their practices. So he took matters into his own hands and decided to put on his own conference.

Called Jump-Start Your Law Practice, the conference is taking place Nov. 16-18 in Indianapolis, Ind. The theme of the conference is providing lawyers with the knowledge and skills they need to create, build or improve their solo or small law practice. Programs cover a range of business, marketing and technology topics.

I will be speaking there, as will be a number of accomplished attorneys and others. My role will be to moderate a series of vendor debates on what makes the best product for a solo or small firm lawyer. We plan to have three of these, focusing on law practice management software, legal research software, digital marketing services, and cyber-security services.

(Spaces are still available for vendors wishing to participate. Information for vendors is here.)

Keynote speaker for the conference is John Jantsch, author of Duct Tape Marketing and a number of other books on marketing for small and mid-sized businesses.

The conference will be held at the Westin Indianapolis.

Full details and registration information can be found at the conference website.
