How do we evaluate the quality and value of legal services? It is question law professor Dan Linna explores in a book chapter he recently authored, “Evaluating Legal Services: The Need for a Quality Movement and Standard Measures of Quality and Value,” the final version of which will be included in the book, Research Handbook on Big Data Law, edited by Dr. Roland Vogl, due out later this year.

Linna, who teaches innovation and technology through a joint appointment at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and McCormick School of Engineering as the director of Law and Technology Initiatives and a senior lecturer, was my guest this week for the Law Insights program on Litera TV.

We talk about Dan’s thoughts on developing a “quality movement” in law, what that means, and how it might relate to current issues in the news regarding law and justice.
