When I invited Robert Taylor, vice president and senior corporate counsel for legal ideation and transformation at Liberty Mutual Insurance, to be my guest earlier this week on Litera.TV, I knew him to be a widely recognized innovator in legal department operations, as was recognized last year when the Association of Corporate Counsel recognized his group with its Legal Operations Team of the Year award.

What I did not know was that Taylor was marking his 25th year at Liberty Mutual, and in observance of that had created a presentation in which he shares the lessons he learned along the way for how to achieve success in a career.

Over the course of our half-hour conversation, we reviewed the path of Taylor’s career and he shared the lessons he learned at each step and the advice he now gives others. While the advice is highly relevant to lawyers and legal professionals, it is equally useful to anyone starting out or moving ahead.

You can watch and listen to the conversation below.
