Not long after Lucy Dillon joined Reed Smith as global chief knowledge officer in 2015, the firm embarked on a firmwide initiative to develop a culture of innovation. The initiative included giving lawyers billable credit for work on innovation projects and a summer associates program that focuses on legal technology.

Innovation projects that resulted from this initiative helped Reed Smith win recognition as Outstanding Law Firm of the Year in 2018 in The Changing Lawyer awards sponsored by Litera, and that culture of innovation has continued in the two years since.

Dillon joined me earlier this week for this conversation about her, her firm, and innovation in law. The program was recorded for my Law Insights program on Litera.TV.
