In the wake of the legal battle over Terri Schiavo’s fate, the American Hospital Association last week launched Put It In Writing, a Web site designed to be a one-stop resource on preparing advance directives such as living wills and health care proxies. It provides basic information about advance directives and links to resources elsewhere on the Web, including several from the American Bar Association. It includes a downloadable ID card to alert health care workers that someone has prepared an advance directive.
