Law.com today published my Law Technology News review of Solo Practice University, a website that offers a mix of practical legal-education courses and professional networking targeted at solo and small-firm lawyers. Here’s the summary of my opinion:
Overall, I was impressed. SPU offers a varied selection of practical courses taught by an accomplished faculty of lawyers and experts. It is thoughtfully designed and takes full advantage of web 2.0 tools. Its subscription plans are reasonably priced and allow unlimited access to all courses and features.

I have a personal experience with “SPU,” that reflects my negative review. It’s still important to have this type of information delivered traditionally.
Having a face-to-face interaction becomes even more important when difficulties arise. Although I was dissatisfied with my experience, perhaps SPU can provide some assistance to those without other options.
