Utopia Casting Flyer 1 FinalAre you a judge or former judge with a hankering to be on TV? If so, have I got an opportunity for you. Fox Television is casting a new reality show and is looking for a judge or former judge to apply. But before you dash off your resume, be prepared to give up a year of your life.

The show, Utopia, will take 15 people, chosen from across the country, and film them for up to a year as they work together to create a society of their choosing, deciding what they want that society to look like.  Here’s how the producers describe it:

Can a perfect world be created? From unscripted mastermind John de Mol, and based on the hit Dutch television series of the same name, Utopia is a bold new unscripted series that moves a group of everyday people to an isolated, undeveloped location — for an entire year — and challenges them to create their own civilization.

While they are looking for a cross-section of people, one in particular they are interested in is someone with the characteristics of a judge — as they put it, someone with “intelligence, patience, objectivity, fairness.” (Hold your snarky comments, please.)

If you are interested and fit the description, visit the show’s casting site, where you can submit an application and read more about the show and the casting process.
