Most lawyers who suffer depression or go through midlife crises keep it close to the vest. Chicago lawyer Steve Imparl has taken a different tack.

Having dealt with depression of his own and having seen its impact on his personal and professional lives, Imparl in 2002 launched the Web site, with the goal of providing support to other men who suffer from the disease. Then, in 2003, on the occasion of his 40th birthday, Imparl launched his blog, Steve’s Midlife Crisis.

Imparl, who is the subject of a story, Real Men Get Depressed, on the Web site Third Age, writes that he “has ambitious plans for, intending to make it the best men’s health Web site in the world.”
