This week’s Coast to Coast, the legal news podcast cohosted by J. Craig Williams and me, features two distinct segments, each with great guests:

  • First we look at lawyers and pro bono. Our guests are Mark O’Brien, deputy director of, a non-profit organization in NYC that provides access to justice through innovative technology and volunteer lawyer participation, and Ken Babcock, executive director and general counsel for the Public Law Center, Santa Ana, Calif., which is in its 24th year of providing free civil legal services for residents in Orange County.
  • In the second half, we get a preview of the Supreme Court’s new term from Marcia Coyle, Washington bureau chief for the National Law Journal and analyst for the NewsHour with Jim Lehrer on PBS.
