As it happens this week, I am involved in two separate webinars, but which have overlapping themes.

The first, on Thursday at 2 p.m. Eastern time, is, The Great Debate: Are Lawyers Luddites or is Technology to Blame? In this panel, I join Joe Patrice, editor at Above the Law, and Jon Tobin, founder of the innovative law firm Counsel for Creators, to explore why lawyers do not use the technologies that could change their practices for the better.

The program is moderated by Michael Simon, attorney in residence at Woodpecker, which is the webinar’s sponsor. Attendance is free but registration is required.

Then Friday brings, Beyond the Hype: Understanding Technology Adoption in BigLaw, presented by the Association of Legal Technologists at 1 p.m. Eastern.  I’ll be moderating this panel, which will explore how law firms evaluate and adopt new technologies.

Bringing different perspectives to the discussion will be four panelists: Richard Hoberman, AI practice consultant, Kira Systems; Vishal Agnihotri, chief knowledge officer, Hinshaw & Culbertson; Monet Fauntleroy, senior manager, practice innovation, White & Case; and Anna McGrane, COO and cofounder, PacerPro.

This program does not require advance registration. The ALT website shows the dial-in instructions.
